Hats! Hats! Hats!

Want to make hats for family and friends, but everyone is a different size with different aesthetic preferences? 

This hat class will help with your mission. With a range of sizes and four different brim choices, you have an amazing source at hand.  Learn how to make an adult size hat/beanie (additional sizes are available for you to make later).  Choose your own brim. Learn how to use double pointed needles (DPN), decrease stitches, knit in the round, and use finishing techniques.

All students will use Malabrigo Rios yarn in class.  Please purchase your yarn when you register for the class by following this link:  Purchase Malabrigo Rios Yarn.   Please note that the Malabrigo yarn comes in hanks that need to be wound into balls prior to class.  We will do the winding shortly before the first class meeting.  Once we have wound it, we will not be able to accept any returns or exchanges on this yarn.  If you want to change your color choice after you have purchased your yarn, please contact us right away to see if that is still possible.

Skill Level:  Intermediate Beginning Knitter (be able to cast on, knit and purl interchangeably)

Class Times: 1:00pm-2:30pm, Saturdays - 9/20, 9/27 and 10/4

Class Size: 6 students (age 16+) maximum.  A minimum of 3 students must register and pay for the session in order for the session to be held.   

Fee: $110 for three  90-minutes classes, includes  Pick Your Own Brim Pattern by Mae Dickson

Yarn:  1 Hank of Malabrigo Rios.  Please purchase HERE before 1st Class starts.

Needles:  US 8 (5mm) 16” circular and US 8  8” double point needles.  

Peninsula Flock Knits carries double point needles, ChiaoGoo interchangeable circular metal and bamboo needle tips and ChiaoGoo cables of various lengths (Note:  a 16" circular inerchangeable needle will require one set of 4" tips plus an 8" cable).
