A toasty and easy to wear beanie for everyone in your life! The multi-row gradual shaping at the top of the beanie gives it that just right fit. Have fun knitting this easy, any weather classic!
Focus: You will learn to knit in the round, to rib in the round, to decrease for beanie shaping and learn to read a pattern with simple pattern instructions. This class is two (2) meetings in total.
Skill Level: This is for beginning knitters who know how to cast on, purl and knit and beyond.

Class Syllabus:
Class 1:
Discuss and learn to take gauge, cast on, learn to work beanie in the round, work beanie edge in ribbing, learn to keep track of ribbing rows and switch from size 7 circular needles to size 8 circular needles. Check length of ribbing and the main section of beanie so that it is knit to student’s desired length.
- Homework = Work in knit for the main section of the beanie up to the start of the shaping/decreases.
Class 2:
Learn to work decreases to shape the top of the beanie. Learn to work on double pointed needles and to finish the top of the beanie. Finish beanie in class.
- Homework = Enjoy your new beanie and make another as a gift!
Each class meeting is three hours long. Each session has two class meetings, spaced one week apart. If you sign up for the Thursday session option, you may only attend the Thursday class meetings. The same applies for the Saturday session option. Note that the Thursday class meetings are held in the evening from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm while the Saturday class meetings are held during the day from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. No meals, drinks or snacks are provided.

Session Fee: $120.00.
Session Size: 6 students maximum. A minimum of 3 students must register and pay for the session in order for the session to be held.

Materials: All students must use the Concept by Katia Cotton Merino Tones yarn purchased from Peninsula Flock Knits. Additional Materials: Students can use their own items or purchase them from Peninsula Flock Knits. If you desire to purchase any of these items from Peninsula Flock Knits, please either purchase them prior to the class meeting or arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the class meeting to complete your purchase.
