Knitting Fundamentals 3 - Project Class: Novice Slipover by PetiteKnit with Sophia Starting January 10

Ready to knit your first top? The Novice Slipover by PetiteKnit project class includes detailed instructions with handy tips for those who have finished the Intro to Knitting class and are eager to knit their first garment.

Starting at the back shoulders, it is knit top-down on circular needles, which is a great method to check the fit as you go and is very easy to add or subtract length. You will also learn to pick up stitches, which you can apply any time you need to pick stitches up in the future!

Skills Taught: M1L, M1R, backward loop cast on, knitting in the round, picking up stitches, ribbing 

Class Times: 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm, Saturdays

Dates:  1/10, 1/17, 1/24 and 1/31

Class Size: 5 students (age 16+) maximum.  A minimum of 3 students must register and pay for the class in order for the class to be held.   

Fee: $135 for four 90-minutes classes. 

Skill Level:   Cast on, knit, and purl

Materials:  US 8 (5 mm) and US 7 (4.5 mm) circular needles, stitch markers, tapestry needle (all materials are available for purchase at Peninsula Flock Knits)

Yarn:   Knitting for Olive heavyweight merino (yarn is available for purchase at Peninsula Flock Knits)
