Crochet FUNdamentals 2

Welcome to the next step in your crochet journey.  In this class you will learn to make your own classic granny squares to turn into scarves, blankets and garments . In this class, we will focus on making the basic granny square. You will be learning  the double crochet stitch, learn how to read a crochet chart, and learn different methods of sewing up your mass of squares!

All students will use at least two contrasting colors of Knitting For Olive Heavy Merino, Malabrigo Rios, or other worsted weight yarn.  See below for more information on purchasing yarn for this class.

Your Teacher:  Mae

Skill Level:  Confident Beginner (must know how to chain, slip stitch & single crochet, and work in the round)

Class Times: 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm, Saturdays

Dates:  2/14, 2/21 and 2/28

Class Size: 5 students (age 16+) maximum.  A minimum of 3 students must register and pay for the session in order for the session to be held.   

Fee: $105 for three 90-minutes classes

Yarn:  1 skein of Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino in each color you want to include in your granny squares (i.e., you should purchase at least 2 skeins).  Please purchase from Peninsula Flock Knits before the first Class starts.  Students can purchase more yarn later from Peninsula Flock Knits if they need it.  You can purchase your yarn online from Peninsula Flock Knits or come into our store at least 30 minutes before the first class.  Please call if you have any questions or want advice on yarn for this class.  (650-678-0968)

Other Materials:  Students will need a US G (4mm) or US H (5mm) crochet hook, removable stitch markers and a tapestry needle, all of which can be purchased from Peninsula Flock Knits at or prior to the first class.
