Magic Loop Socks

Let’s take the mystique out of a knitting technique known as "magic loop"!  Grab a skein of dk weight yarn or scraps of dk yarn you have from past projects and learn this useful technique by making some fun socks.  Plus, if you make 2 socks, you have your next gift to give during the holidays!  Who doesn’t love a pair of comfy hand mades socks?  

The pattern we are using is free, so grab some needles and yarn and join us for some summer magic sock fun.

Your Teacher:  Erin

Skills Taught:  Knitting in the round using “magic loop” technique, turning a heel, creating a gusset and the kitchener stitch.

Skills Required:  Knitting in the round and purling.

Class Times: 2:00 - 4:00 pm, Fridays

Dates: 8/14 and 8/28 (skip 8/21)

Class Size: 5 students (age 16+) maximum.  A minimum of 3 students must register and pay for the session in order for the session to be held.   

Fee: $100 for 2 two-hour classes

Yarn:  230-350 yards of dk weight yarn (if using scraps, please use all superwash or all non-superwash).  Students can purchase the yarn from Peninsula Flock Knits  Please purchase your yarn before 1st Class starts. 

Other Materials:  Students will need US 4 40” circular needle which can be purchased from Peninsula Flock Knits.
