Emotional Support Chicken 

"Life is hard. We all need a chicken to help make it better!" says Annette Corsino, designer of the viral Emotional Support Chicken pattern. Need a fun project? Knit your own stuffed chicken that you can hug whenever you need some emotional support. You will learn increases, decreases, wrap & turn short row shaping, picking up stitches, and cable cast on, as well as practice your seaming skills. You will apply these essential skills in a quick project guaranteed to make you smile.

K2tog and SSK decreases, KFB increase, W&T short rows, picking up stitches, and cable cast on

CLASS TIMES
11:30 am - 1:00 pm, Saturdays

DATES
10/24, 10/31 and 11/7

CLASS SIZE
5 students (age 16+) maximum.  A minimum of 3 students must register and pay for the class in order for the class to be held.

FEE
$122.50 for three 90-minutes classes, including materials kit ($10 value)

SKILL LEVEL
Cast on, knit, purl, and bind off

MATERIALS
US7 (4.5 mm) needles (either 24" or 32" fixed circular needles or interchangeable needles with a 14" or 22" cord), tapestry needle, 250 g stuffing, and 1 pair of safety eyes.  Students can purchase steel or bamboo interchangeable needles with cables and tapestry needles from Peninsula Flock Knits.

Class includes a materials kit ($10 value) that includes polyfill and safety eyes.

YARN
Worsted weight yarn.  You can use any worsted you like.  Peninsula Flock Knits has a wide variety of worsted yarns.  You can see our selection HERE.

Main color: 200 yards
Contrast color:  100 yds
Beak color: 4 yds
Comb and wattle color: 6 yds

Students should plan to purchase their yarn before the first class (yarn is available for purchase at Peninsula Flock Knits).

Pattern is not included.  It can be purchased on Ravelry HERE.  Students can purchase this pattern through Peninsula Flock Knits when they are in the store.
