Get ready for cozy season with your own hooded scarf. The Sophie Hood is worked flat starting at the tip of the scarf with clean i-cord edges. The hood is shaped midpoint and then sewn together at the neck. You will learn tips for success as well as how to fix mistakes. Best of all, no purling! Once you knit your first one, you can adapt to any weight yarn, any size needle--great for gift knits!

Skills Taught: Slipping stitches, kfb increase, k2tog and skp decreases, mattress stitch

Class Times: 2:00 - 4:00 pm, Saturdays

Dates: October 24 and November 7 (skip 10/31 to give students time to knit)

Class Size: 5 students (age 16+) maximum.  A minimum of 3 students must register and pay for the class in order for the class to be held.

Fee: $100 for two 2-hour classes

Skill Level: Cast on, knit, and purl

Materials: US8 (5.0 mm) 24” circular needle and lots of stitch markers (all materials are available for purchase at Peninsula Flock Knits)

Yarn:   Worsted weight yarn (450 - 800 yds): Suggestions: (1) Plymouth Aireado; or (2)  Knitting for Olive Merino + Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair (yarn is available for purchase at Peninsula Flock Knits). 

Pattern:  Students will need to have their own copy of the pattern.   Students can purchase the pattern at Peninsula Flock Knits or directly through Ravelry by clicking HERE.  Cost is approximately $6.00
